anthony price x topman fall winter 2009

those who wished that stella mccartney would do adult sizes for the kids band jackets at gap, how about these anthony price x topman military/band jackets?

i saw the special collection online, and decided to try them on in stores. maybe it's a good thing i did, as i took a size down to make the jacket more fitting. i'm a classic eu48/m but i tried on "s" for the jackets. i love the red band jacket, the color is so striking and i really like the gold braiding with the red.

buttoned up...

i really like the jacket, but i actually deliberated for a long time between red and green (below). the red is striking, but that's also the problem for me. it's rather loud, and i'm not sure if i want to pay full price for a jacket which looks like i've got it from the flea market for a fraction of it's price.

i really like the version in green. it reminded me of the gucci fall winter 2007 mohair jacket which i sadly passed at that time. the thing that irks me is that why can't they do the green jacket with gold braiding and gold buttons? it would have been perfect for me. despite that, i bought the green jacket. it's more subtle and not losing any of the quirky details.

i hope i won't regret and return it!

i also tried on this really nice cropped military jacket. the grey, the black, the buttons, the crop, all is perfect, but i can't button them up in size "s" despite it being a really good fit on the shoulders.

the anthony price x topman collection is available online too. i would advise getting a size down for a better fit. for more pics from the campaign, visit the fashionisto here.

  3. sigh...its always like that. You always wish for a different combi of colors...did they do the colors in the dark? I like the red but like you said..too loud..if only it was more vintage/washed out color...navy with gold trimming would be nice

  12. U look great in red. And u can wear it with a blazer jacket or a coat to make it a little less loud, which is the perfect amount :)

  14. Gryffindor or Slytherin. The colors remind me of Harry Potter. I love the green one though.

  15. dear 00o00: could you please recommend a good, stylish yet classic, slim-fit trench coat? i want to get one as an investment piece - that'll last me many years. your expert direction would be much appreciated. ps - i live in the USA.

  16. pps - i HATE the burberry signature beige checked lining that their trenches have - otherwise would've gone with theirs.
