jefferson hack in prada and missoni fall winter 2009

on thursday night, style icon and founder of dazed & confused magazine, jefferson hack, attended the london premiere of "nowhere boy" with girlfriend anouck lepere. the john lennon biopic is the directorial debut for english artist sam taylor-wood.

jefferson attended the premiere in a white studded shirt from prada, and a utterly butterly toasty coat from missoni, both from the current fall winter 2009 collection. that is one stunning coat, i really really like it.

the coat was also featured in missoni's gorgeous advertorial, shot by one of my favourite photographers, ryan mcginley.

i think we are all tired of the studded shirt by now. the coat looked ok on the runway, but it looked great on jefferson, as well as in the campaign shots. gosh, he's just 00o00h so hip, it hurts.

  1. I loooooooove Missoni, but I find them to be ridiculously overpriced, esp for knitwear.
    p.s
there should be an age when one stops wearing skinny jeans. Hack's shirt and jacket are really beautiful, such a shame that his outfit is ruined by those horrible skinny jeans.

  2. After fucking 'Jedward' were seen in matching Prada studded shirts they totally died for me... also, in light of this, so glad I didn't buy one, because I was considering!

The coat looks much better on Jefferson than on the runway and in the ad, but I'd kind of be happier about the outfit if he was wearing black shoes..

  3. I agree with Kile. Along with the untucked shirt, it seems so messy. But Missoni really had a strong Fall collection IMO, so it's great to see that see it out on someone.

Annouck's face it priceless in that pic though lol

  4. Just wanted to say that I really like your blog! Such a shame that we don't get Missoni menswear in Australia. Also, not that I liked the studded shirt, but our Prada stores buy the most boring pieces: navy and black suits and blue poplin shirts season in season out...Anything interesting from the runway you can pretty much guarantee they won't buy it. They did have the studded shoes though but they are silly and weigh a tonne.
