burberry prorsum menswear pre-fall 2010

menswear fashion week officially starts this saturday in milan! if you're not excited yet, you should be! burberry prorsum is one show that i'm always looking forward to. below are some of my favourites from the pre-fall collection, which should arrive in stores around may to june 2010. the pre-fall collection also sets the mood for burberry prorsum's upcoming show this saturday.

can you guess the theme?

MI-LI-TA-RY !!!!!

i am completely in love with that last coat! LOVE! i really like military influences in clothes, i hope i am correct, and will see much more of such pieces in the main collection, which will be shown this saturday at 6pm in milan.

the show will also be streamed live on http://live.burberry.com/

excited i am!

  1. This collection looks like it will appeal to me, the jackets and coats are a great, more rustic, military style.

Agreed on the last coat, it's gorgeous. First Burberry collection I've been excited about in a while.

  2. i love the color stories! but zara has already come out with military-themed jackets and coats this fall/winter... they have come out with stuff that look the same as the fourth and fifth garments (in grey tweed)

  3. Looks very interesting. This is a particular take on military. Looks very early 20th Century, especially the colours and the pocket details, but cut closer to the body. This really is superb.

  4. I always look forward to seeing the Prorsum collection. Not just military (which admittedly has been around for ages and doesn't ever seem to go completely away in FW collections,) but a particularly strong forties WW2 British armed forces vibe going on in terms of cut and colour here.

  5. Seems to me that the idea of this coming collection still cannot take over 06FW or 08FW on inspiration....kinda boring to be honest.
