Henry Holland in Dries Van Noten shirt and Rupert Sanderson shoes

yesterday, henry holland and nick grimshaw attended the annual serpentine gallery summer party. the designer and boy around town kept it simple with a pastel blue blazer, white shirt and slim fitted black trousers. i always find henry's shoe choices to be interesting, i've previously featured him in prada and louboutin studded shoes. for the summer party, he wore a pair of saddled oxfords from rupert sanderson.

i am having a severe case of hair envy here.

and i noticed that when henry likes a pair of shoes, he wears it on several occasions consecutively. on wednesday, he also wore the same pair of saddled oxfords to net-a-porter's 10th birthday party.

the saddled oxfords were from rupert sanderson's first ever menswear collection. these are currently included in the spring summer sale, 50% off but you must be quick! click here for more details.

henry also wore a printed shirt from dries van noten spring 2010 to the party. in fact, i bought the same shirt at the harvey nichols summer sale three weeks ago!

the shirt was actually an exclusive for harvey nichols and featured embroidery details above the chest pocket. never thought this would go with a denim jacket, but i really like henry's styling, might give it a go myself.

with my favourite trousers of the moment from topman, and sneakers from missoni x converse. yes, i agree that henry wore it better.

i love the loose silhouette as it appeared on the spring 2010 show. i believed the runway shirt was made from silk rather than the cotton version that henry and myself wore. it could be this tweak that made it an exclusive for harvey nichols.

  1. I think the cotton makes the dries shirt more contemporary in feel. Cos, it does not become too soft and flowy on the body. Good choice! Love Dries:-)

    Henry Holland has great shoes:-)

  2. The pattern mix of the Dries Van Noten shirt and the noeud papillon is very interesting. Mr Holland is a style inspiration.
