Selfridges Project Ocean

i walked past selfridges on oxford street last sunday, and saw that their entire window displays on the ground floor had been blocked out for "project ocean", and a huge banner adorned their main entrance, headlining "no more fish in the sea". "project ocean" is their latest campaign to celebrate the beauty of the ocean, highlight the issue of over-fishing, helping all to understand the threats to the ocean and make positive choices about the right fish to buy and eat. i think it's a great campaign, and for selfridges to block out valuable window space to promote this cause is just commendable.

choosing seafood from sustainable sources is a great step forward, or for those more vocal you can choose from some of the slogan t-shirts/bags made specially for selfridges by katharine hamnett. while i think i am a little too old for slogan stuff (my cut off is 25years old...), i thought the below bracelet is really cute and something i would wear:

cute eh! and it's only £5! what's more, the entire proceeds (yes the entire £5) will go towards the zoological society of london to set up new, and maintain existing, marine reserves around the world.

available from selfridges or online here. i so need to venture in stores to get the bracelet and the delectable coca-cola bottles!

  1. The bracelet is cheap & beautiful!!!

  2. I love Katharine Hamnett and was always wondering what she's up to nowadays- perhaps I will have to get a slogan t-shirt- I guess 15 is not too old then! :D

  3. Also... just watched this week's Glee episode and they are all wearing black and white slogan t-shirts! Coincidence!

what's he wearing?
