christian louboutin was pictured at l'officiel magazine's 90th anniversary party in paris on saturday. in above picture with dita von teese, the shoe maestro wore a grey suit and paired it with a pair of grey "platers" lace-ups made from stingray skin from his fall winter 2011 collection. it's one of my favourites from the collection as the use of stingray skin is so exquisite. however i find grey shoes to be a difficult color for men. i'm not exactly sure about the grey suiting with matching shoes. any thoughts?

christian louboutin "platers" stingray shoe, sw00o00n!

Grey on Grey from a man of age is soo on point. I think the tone on tone from the Maestro as you called him, is so nice and respectable.
ReplyDeleteVery classy to me.
You're right. Those beautiful shoes suffered when put a that grey (not to mention ill-fitting) canvas of a suit...-CK
ReplyDeleteI actually find grey shoes to be an easy match with dark colour pants - provided its a dark grey shade/ gunmetal shade. Its definitely an interesting alternative to black.
ReplyDeleteSince these shoes are quite pointy, I will pair it up with a slightly skinny dark navy suit (slightly narrow lapel) to bring out the grey without making the look too loud
ReplyDeleteGrey shoes are not as hard to match as one would imagine, however in my opinion, Mr Louboutin's clashed with his suit.
ReplyDeletequite ugly actually. he shld swear non-grey.
ReplyDeleteIt looks like he's wearing heels...OUCH!
ReplyDeletethere's something delightfully eighties about grey shoes....love them though!
