Burberry Prorsum Spring Summer 2012 versus Dries Van Noten Spring Summer 2010

burberry prorsum ss2012 / dries van noten ss2010

reader friedrich noted the similarities between the above ikat trousers. honestly, i love them both. printed trousers are something i've not really tried, but keen on. which do you prefer?

  1. I like the overall feel of the DVN look, but in isolation the Prorsum definitely wins - great colours and really clear, definite pattern. (Didn't really notice them in the show, weirdly)

    1. agree. show is probably too quick, hence a re-see is always exciting!

  2. I prefer the burberry prorsum one better! thanks for sharing dude

What an honour to be mentioned in one of your posts! Thank you!

In my opinion, this was one of the best Dries van Noten menswear shows ever and i think that this is a true Dries pattern for one simple reason: In Dries van Noten's collection it is used as a principle: it is all about the combination of different patterns and of patterns with plain shapes of fabric. In the Burberry collection the ikat-pattern is used only ornamentally and in an additive way.

  4. prefiero Dries Van Noten y definitivamente creo que es algo en lo que hay que incursionar, me encanta!

  5. i like burberry's version more now... the print is more defined

what's he wearing?
