Prada (1913.HK) eight months on

prada historic share prices / yahoo.com

prada's shares lost about 4.3% since they listed on the hong kong stock exchange in june last year. performance has been a little lacklustre when you compare them to the share prices of other luxury goods makers, the likes of LVMH, burberry, PPR etc. we all agree that asia is where the money is right now, but is listing on the hong kong stock exchange the right move? salvatore ferragamo listed on the milan stock exchange around the same time last year but share price has gone up 33% to date. or do people generally think prada has matured as a brand, with it's accessories and ready-to-wear lines fully/well developed?

don't get me wrong, i love prada. their menswear shows/campaigns still excites me immensely, but can the brand grow any further? perhaps that's the question on most analyst's mind. (on my mind at least...)
