A little update...

hello, it's been a little while, how are we doing? it has been a manic few weeks for me, falling ill and bed ridden a few days before the completion of my first flat. yes, i bought my dream flat and moved in two weeks ago. having rented all my life, i accummulated no furniture nor applicances, so it is exciting (and a tad scary) to start from scratch. am sleeping on the floor and living out of boxes at the moment, but i was fortunate to get the painter/decorator in at short notice. the walls are freshly painted and i don't have to do much work on the rest of the property, i feel my blank canvas is ready.

i can't wait to get everything back on track. living out of a few shoes and with paint and tiles lying around irks me.

and this is the roof over my flat... i wish. that's the very ornate dome over the westminster rooms at the old sessions house in clerkenwell, home to the alexander mcqueen sample sale over the past few days. yes i left empty handed, as i kept thinking "oh that could get me a coffee table, oh that could get me the pair of phillipe starck chairs i wanted.".

i am glad to have moved in when we are moving into the summer. waking up to fresh white walls with sunlight filling the rooms makes me happy. and that's the view on a good day, the macnificient river thames running to the left. i will be back blogging soon, once the logistics of a consol table and broadband are sorted out. working full time 9-7 and trying to do up the flat is getting my hands full at the moment. but i am getting there.

i am feeling happier. might be the exceptionally sunny spells we are experiencing in london these days, might be the new chapter in my life that i am embarking. hope all is well.

  23. Congrats. I've been here everyday to finally see a new post. The only thing you need in your new home is a Balenciaga custom-made futuristic sofa. Nicolas G has a lot of work :)

  24. Congratulations, it takes a good deal of guts to do what you`re doing.
I`m sure you will look back at everything, in the near future, with a nostalgia feeling, missing the chill on your spine and the excitement of not knowing what`s ahead of you.
    Wish you all the best.
