Missoni Fall Winter 2012 ad campaign

Missoni Fall Winter 2012 ad campaign Mark Borthwick
Really loving the campaign images for Missoni Fall Winter 2012, easily one of my favourites this season. The Fall Winter 2009 images lensed by Ryan McGinley were my favourite Missoni campaign so far, but these are easily up there with them. Mark Borthwick visualised the campaign, paying homage to the tonal pictorial backgrounds of Mark Rothko and to the most existential cinema of Michelangelo Antonioni. The clothes almost played second fiddle, implying an attitude towards life, an informal, free and versatile aesthetic vision.

Love.

  1. Missoni mens consistently has the worst earth tone color scheme of any designer line. I am really not sure how they get away with it every season. I honestly pray every season for something wearable.
