The blog has turned "blue" in support of Orlebar Brown and Blue Marine Foundation. For the next two weeks, the blog header above will remain blue and my Twitter and Instagram logo will change from the usual red "O" to a blue "O". Blue Marine Foundation's mission is to take active and effective protection of 10% of the world’s oceans by 2020, to be delivered through a network of marine reserves and private sector led solutions in the sea. You can read more about the issues and why we need to do more to protect our oceans on Blue Marine Foundation's website.

Orlebar Brown is partnering with Blue Marine Foundation, and releasing a six piece capsule collection. The collection includes their classic v-neck and round neck t-shirts (Bobby and Tommy), polo shirt (Sebastian), sweatshirt (Hester) and trousers (Norwich) made specially in the above blue shade. The collection also includes Orlebar Brown's classic Bulldog shorts with the marine sea life print. It's definitely my favourite piece in the special collection.

Orlebar Brown is donating 25% of the sale proceeds of the above 'Bulldog BLUE II' shorts, and 10% from the rest of the capsule collection to Blue Marine Foundation. It is a very good initiative, and being a big fan of Orlebar Brown, I am very proud that the blog can be part of this worthwhile cause. A very good quote I read this week, was that "if you think you are too small to make a difference, try sleeping with a mosquito".

Looking good and doing good when we go away on our summer holidays this year. You can shop the Orlebar Brown capsule collection for Blue Marine Foundation, online from OrlebarBrown.com.

  1. It sounds like a great cause to get behind. True, that quote does make a lot of sense. Nice work.
