Riccardo Tisci in Givenchy - Givenchy Fall Winter 2014 Show, #PFW

Riccardo Tisci in Givenchy - Givenchy Fall Winter 2014 Show, #PFW
Riccardo Tisci presented the Givenchy Menswear Fall Winter 2014 collection yesterday as part of Paris Fashion Week. Riccardo came out towards the end to take a bow, in one of the basketball print sweatshirts, with black denims and white sneakers.

I thought Neil Barrett was fast, wearing his Fall Winter 2014 sweatshirt two days after his show. Riccardo topped that, effectively adding one more look to the collection presented. And we wonder why designers don't often do that? Surely that adds faith and integrity to the show, and to the team who helped to put the collection together?

The luxury sweatshirt trend shows no sign of slowing. We can retire our Rottweilers sweatshirts for now, and move the battle to the basketball courts. If I can be honest (can we?), I do like the luxe basketball theme, but Astrid Andersen has been doing it for a while. We even featured G-Dragon in one of her fur lined basketball jersey last year. Givenchy's has a more commercial appeal though, and that is the smarter move.

It was announced that Riccardo Tisci has teamed up with Nike to release a special line "Nike R.T." this Spring. So Riccardo and Givenchy want us to be sporty for 2014. Better not cancel my gym membership then.

  1. The best part is the net over the face! By the way, I just bought my first pair of TOGA PULLA cowgirl shoes, they're TRES provoking, perfect novelty shoes that are impractically wonderful! <3 Check that out and be #provoked.
