Adrien Brody attended 'The Grand Budapest Hotel' premiere at Alice Tully Hall on 26 February 2014 in New York City. Adrien wore a double breasted red silk suit from Dolce & Gabbana, and wore it over the matching waistcoat and white shirt. Black satin shoes, clean complexion and sleeked back hair completed his look for the premiere.

His posture, gaze and choice of the red suit for the premiere were veering on the comical side, perhaps it was to match the light-hearted tone of the movie. The suit fitted him very well, especially loving the length of the trousers. I thought Adrien Brody carried off the look really well. Considering director Wes Anderson came in a purple velvet suit, Adrien's suit wasn't really that shocking. I saw the trailer for the movie two days ago and thought it was such a fun movie with a fantastic cast. In light of that, even though Adrien Brody gave a rather theatrical red carpet appearance, I love his whole look from head to toe.

Who would have thought that the shiny red Dolce & Gabbana suit would be that popular on the red carpet. Footballer Lionel Messi wore the Dolce & Gabbana suit (single breasted) to the Ballon d'Or 2013 last month, while British artiste Tinie Tempah wore the same double breasted suit to the ELLE Style Awards in London last week. Who wore it better?

I prefer Adrien Brody's interpretation. The white shirt which was semi undone kind of offsets the rather severe colour tone of the suit. I think it was Adrien Brody's nonchalance which made the style work for him.
