James Goldstein was pictured at the Missoni show as part of Milan Fashion Week Womenswear Autumn Winter 2014 on 23 February 2014 in Milan, Italy. James wore a leather biker jacket with golden embroidered patchworks from Balmain Spring Summer 2014, over a black top and black leather zipped detail trousers. His signature cowboy hat, high leather boots and a small neck scarf completed his look.

Who is James Goldstein? If you do a google search, the second result (after Wikipedia) is titled "Who the hell is James Goldstein". Now, that's not very nice is it? We featured him back in December when he was pictured in Miami. James Goldstein is one of those very enigmatic personalities: not a lot is known about him, except that he is a huge NBA fan (looks can be deceiving isn't it?) and his house in Los Angeles was recently featured on The Coveteur (beyond epic that was). Never one to shy away from the statement pieces, James chose a leather biker jacket with massive embroidered patchworks.  The massive patchwork on the front of the jacket is different to the one in the lookbook, not really sure why. Peter Brant Jr wore the same jacket back in September when he attended the Balmain show during SS2014 Paris fashion week. James's full on leather look felt a little "Peter Marino", although he made the look his own with his signature cowboy/ western accessories.

A jacket that is very difficult to wear outside of the runway and fashion shoots. I'm not exactly sure if I like it or if I am qualified to comment. In situations like this, I know I can always turn to my fabulous friend for help:

"I thought all leather looks were reserved only for Christina Aguilera or Jared Leto, yet James once again manages to pull this look off. As a mad leather collector, this is perfect for him. The fact that the jacket is Balmain totally makes up for the fact that I'm looking at a 200 year old man in full on leather. If he was walking through New York's Meat Packing district, this would be a completely different critique!!!" - Simon Glazelle from The Very Simon G

Just to make this clear: I did not say James is 200 years old! Do you like James Goldstein's look above? You can shop the Balmain biker jacket online from Farfetch.com.
