Pietro Beccari, Silvia Venturini Fendi and Karl Lagerfeld attended the Fendi boutique opening on 18 March 2014 in Munich, Germany. Several celebrities attended the opening of Germany's first Fendi boutique, where the luxury Italian brand held the official opening of its store at 12 - 14 Maximilianstrasse, a historical 19th-century building, on Tuesday. Coinciding with the new store opening is a photography exhibition 'The Glory of Water" at the Haus der Kunst. The exhibition presents fascinating photographs of Rome's fountains taken by Karl Lagerfeld, a restored version of the fashion film produced by Fendi in 1977, "Histoire D'Eau" and an illustrated volume of the same name published by STEIDL-Verlag. If you are in Munich, the exhibition will run from 19 - 25 March 2014.

Now now. Karl Lagerfeld in colours, you can almost knock me out with a feather. I was hyperventilating (almost) when Karl Lagerfeld wore a floral Tom Ford tuxedo back in 2011. The legendary German designer, who usually only wears black or white, wore a colour block coat from Dior Homme Spring Summer 2014, over his usual signature attire of high collars, broad ties and a multitude of accessories. Karl Lagerfeld in Dior Homme is probably not fresh news: he famously lost weight to fit into the tiny cuts when Hedi Slimane was designing for Dior Homme. Karl in colours, and even colour blocks, that is pretty rare.

It is a beautiful coat. love the plum shades with the slightly artsy and Mondrian reference. We featured Chinese artiste Gao Hu in a similar suit from the same collection the day before.

To end things on a Fendi related note: here are a few of my favourite Fendi items at the moment, with a Karl Lagerfeld figurine thrown in for good measures. Click to find out more and to shop online:
