David Beckham was pictured at the 2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil Final match between Germany and Argentina at Maracana on 13 July 2014 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The former England International player wore a blue denim / chambray monogrammed shirt from Louis Vuitton, over a white t-shirt and black trousers.

Love the neat and gorgeous back swept hair with the nonchalant stubble around his face. In theory, the half buttoned monogrammed shirt while revealing the white t-shirt underneath should not work. However, the fit of the shirt was really good, the monogramming was subtle yet adding a good design overall, and his sunglasses punctuated the outfit beautifully. His look appeared natural, effortless yet somewhat captivating.

Speaking of Louis Vuitton: The FIFA World Cup Trophy arrived on the pitch of the Maracaña Stadium in Brazil protected by a specially commissioned Louis Vuitton trunk. The trophy was escorted by Carles Puyol, the 2010 FIFA World Cup Champion, and Brazilian-born top model Gisele Bündchen, who wore a Louis Vuitton outfit from the 2015 Cruise Collection. In just a few days, the FIFA World Cup Trophy and its official Louis Vuitton trunk will leave Brazil for Germany, home of the new World Champions.

Simply stunning.

  1. Hi,

It seems David Beckham could pull off anything he wanted and has a sense of style even in a casual outfit. The denim shirt was perfect for the football event, not too much but still looks smart. Could you recommend anywhere that I could buy a similar, well tailored denim shirt for a special occasion but without the monogramming?

    1. J. Crew sells virtually the exact same shirt; the only difference being that it has stitched dots instead of the stitched LV monograms. I believe they have a plain, dot-less version as well.
