Louis Leeman pop-up shop at Selfridges London

Fans of Louis Leeman shoes: rejoice! If you are in London, do check out their pop-up store on the first floor of Selfridges on Oxford Street. The area is right by the mega men shoes department, next to the escalators so you won't miss it. The special pop-up store stocks a pretty comprehensive collection from Fall Winter 2014, including several pairs of very stunning slippers with intricate hand crafted embroideries and opulent rhinestones finishes.

I am conscious of showing you everything from the pop-up store, I think it is best for you to experience it if you can. Here are a few of my favourites, including the suede and leather chain detail sneakers above, which is exclusive to the pop-up.

For those with more extravagant tastes, how about these incredible metallic toe cap hi-top sneakers in python (left) or crocodile leather (right)? The design and proportions are absolutely flawless.

Besides their stylish and luxuriously finished sneakers, their range of stunning slippers are absolutely, pardon my fashion-speak: to. die. for. In all seriousness, I would collect their intricate slippers if I can. Keep the rest of the outfit relatively simple and accessorise with the above rhinestones encrusted shoes with a velvet front. Just stunning.

If the first slipper is too bling (sorry we cannot be friends...), how about the above sumptuous black velvet slip-ons with golden metallic finishes?

Notice the middle slippers with scale-like details: they have little round studs hidden within each 'scale' to create this amazing effect. I agree that their shoes are pricey, but you can really see where the artisanal work has gone into.

My absolute favourite from the pop-up: the Oriental / Japanese Kabuki inspired embroidered slippers. The shoes were embroidered with different fabrics and textures to give it a real three dimensional feel. Even against the Turkish / Morrocan motif tiles, the intricate slippers still managed to pop. Probably at odds with all the other shoes within the collection, but this really stood out for me, and has my name all over it.

The Louis Leeman special pop-up store at Selfridges London is now open (since 15th September 2014), and is scheduled to run for about a month.
