Eddie Redmayne and Jared Leto attended the 18th Annual Hollywood Film Awards at The Palladium on 14th November 2014 in Hollywood, California. Eddie Redmayne, winner of Hollywood Breakout Performance for 'The Theory of Everything,' wore a contrast lapel suit from Valentino. Jared Leto wore a tonal check double breasted jacket from Alexander McQueen.
The pair were literally inseparable at the event, I could not find any good single solo shots of the two. New BFF alert? Hot on the heels of the Oscar tipped Stephen Hawkings biopic 'The Theory of Everything', Eddie Redmayne has just signed on for 'The Danish Girl', where he will play the first transgender woman to undergo a gender reassignment surgery back in the 30s. The role is based off David Ebershoff‘s book of the same name. Eddie will portray Einar Wegener, a Danish painter who became transgendered and changed her named to Lili Elbe. She had her reassignment surgery in 1931.
Who best to seek advice for the role than Oscar winning actor Jared Leto, who was absolutely mesmerising as Rayon in 'Dallas Buyers Club'?

Styling wise, Eddie Redmayne was totally flawless. The Valentino tailoring suited him perfectly, and that minuscule tie knot is just textbook sartorial. The winning element for me was the contrast edge pocket square, whimsically inserted on his left chest pocket. Great grooming and styling, Eddie Redmayne can sell me a suit any day.

How do you stand out amongst a sea of black suits and tuxedos at an awards ceremony? Jared Leto's success was largely due to his unconventional style, and of course hard work. For the 18th Annual Hollywood Film Awards, the multi tasking artiste wore a subtle tonal check double breasted blazer from Alexander McQueen Fall Winter 2014. Love the white flower pin, not too sure about the oversized white shoes, but definitely in awe of those golden locks. The blazer is longer in length than most, which makes it challenging to wear, but I thought Jared Leto worked it well.
Two widely different looks at the event, do you prefer Eddie Redmayne's classic sartorial styling, or Jared Leto's quirky rock-chic glam? (did I really just write that??)
